Copyright & Takedown Policy
Last updated: 29 Jul 2026
SapneDigital respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects every artist who uses the Platform to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, how we respond, and how an affected user can reply.
1. Your responsibility as an uploader
By uploading any music, artwork, or other material you confirm that you own it or have all necessary rights and licences - including for any samples, features, cover versions, beats and artwork. Uploading content you do not have the rights to is a breach of our Terms of Service and may lead to takedown, account suspension, and withholding of royalties linked to the infringement.
2. Reporting copyright infringement (takedown notice)
If you are a rights holder (or authorised to act for one) and believe content on the Platform or delivered to a store infringes your copyright, email a notice to copyright@sapnedigital.com including all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, ISRC/UPC if known, or a link to the original).
- Identification of the infringing content - the release name, artist name, and the store link or Platform URL where it appears.
- Your full name, postal address, email and phone number.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Submitting a false or bad-faith claim may make you liable for damages.
3. What we do after a valid notice
- We review the notice and, where it appears valid, remove or disable access to the reported content and request takedown from the relevant stores.
- We notify the uploader that their content has been removed and provide a copy of the notice (with contact details as permitted by law).
- We may withhold royalties associated with the disputed release pending resolution.
4. Counter-notice (if your content was removed by mistake)
If your content was removed and you believe this was an error or that you hold the rights, send a counter-notice to copyright@sapnedigital.com including:
- Identification of the content that was removed and where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of applicable law, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Evidence of your rights or licence (agreement, distribution proof, ownership documents).
- Your name, address, email and signature.
If your counter-notice is valid, we may restore the content or forward the counter-notice to the original complainant.
5. Repeat-infringer policy
We will suspend or permanently terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly upload infringing content, or who are the subject of repeated valid takedown notices, and we may withhold royalties linked to that infringement.
6. Store policies also apply
Stores such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and JioSaavn run their own copyright and Content ID systems and may remove or block content independently of SapneDigital. We are not responsible for a store's own moderation decisions.
7. Grievances
For any complaint that is not resolved through the process above, you may contact our Grievance Officer via the Grievance Redressal page.
