Content, Metadata & Artwork Policy

To be accepted by stores and to protect every artist on the Platform, releases must meet the technical and content standards below. Releases that do not comply may be rejected or taken down. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Upload terms (what you confirm)

• You own or control all rights to the audio, artwork, samples and any features in your release.
• Your metadata is accurate and not misleading.
• You accept that stores make the final decision on acceptance and availability.

2. Audio requirements

• Upload the highest quality master you have - WAV (16-bit/44.1kHz or higher) is preferred; high-bitrate audio is required.
• Audio must be free of unwanted noise, clipping, silence at the wrong places, or DJ drops that stores reject.
• Each track must be a complete, final master. Do not upload demos or watermarked audio.

3. Artwork requirements

• Cover art must be a perfect square, minimum 1400×1400 pixels (3000×3000 recommended), RGB, JPG or PNG.
• No blurry or pixelated images, no logos of stores (Spotify, Apple, etc.), no website URLs, social handles, phone numbers or pricing on the artwork.
• Artwork must not be sexually explicit, hateful, or infringe anyone's rights, and must match the release.

4. Metadata rules

• Artist, title, and contributor names must be correct and consistent. Do not add another artist's name to gain traffic.
• Mark explicit tracks as Explicit; do not label clean tracks as explicit or vice-versa.
• Language, genre, and release date must be accurate. Featured artists go in the correct field, not the title.
• ISRC and UPC codes are generated for you - do not reuse a code from a previous release or another distributor.

5. Prohibited content

• Content you do not own or are not licensed to distribute, including unauthorised cover versions, samples and remixes.
• Impersonation of another artist, or misleading "type beat" style uploads that ride on a famous name.
• Hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or unlawful content.
• Public-domain or third-party recordings uploaded as your own.

6. Content review

Releases may be reviewed before delivery. We may request changes, hold, or reject a release that breaches these rules or a store's guidelines. Review helps prevent takedowns and store penalties that affect your account standing.

7. Artificial / fake streaming

Artificial streaming - using bots, click farms, paid "stream" services, or any method to inflate streams - is strictly prohibited. Stores detect and penalise it, and it can lead to fines charged back to the distributor. If we detect or are notified of artificial streaming on your releases, we may:

• Withhold or reverse royalties linked to the activity;
• Take down the affected release; and
• Suspend or terminate your account and pass on any store penalties.

8. Copyright

Rights holders can report infringement and uploaders can respond through our Copyright & Takedown Policy.
